Welcome to Monte Vista!A message from our Principal, Dr. Kevin Ahern: Schools in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District continue to benefit from LCFF (Local Control Funding Formula) state funding which has increased steadily since its inception. Unfortunately, these funds still do not fully meet the California's per student allocation and will not meet that goal for several years. Therefore, we can assume that current state funding will still not provide needed resources at Monte Vista High School. Thanks to the ongoing generosity of the Monte Vista parent community and through the efforts of our Academic Boosters, we are able to provide a local funding source that provides our students with additional academic sections which in turn creates lower class sizes. Your donation to Academic Boosters has a direct connection to providing your student and the students in your community a quality education." MV Academic Excellence Boosted by Parent Donations Despite budget issues, Monte Vista continues to excel. The key to this success is a rich tradition of parent and community support. Academic Boosters, run by parent volunteers, donates over 95% of its funds for extra class sections. Academic Boosters also sponsors Test Preparation Classes for college entrance tests (SAT, ACT), College Night, and Honor Roll Student Recognition. General meetings provide a forum for parents and the administration to share academic information and concerns. Make a donation today! In these times of uncertainty about State funding for our schools, the only thing we can be certain of is that Academic Boosters funds will be used to support Monte Vista students! Your donations positively affect ALL students in ALL levels of learning in ALL subjects. We ask that you kindly donate $650 per student. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Academic Boosters Raises Funds for 18 Class Sections!
Thank You Monte Vista families and businesses for supporting the Monte Vista Academic Boosters Education Fund this year! With your help, Academic Boosters raised enough funds for 18 class sections for the 2024/2025 school year! These valuable sections will enable the administration to reduce class sizes, offer much needed classes, increase counselor staffing, and maintain the valuable education programs that make our school so great. What is happening now?
Monte Vista Academic Boosters 2025 Spring Campaign:
Your annual contribution to Monte Vista Academic Boosters (MVAB) is critical to supporting academic excellence at Monte Vista High School!
Historically, MVAB has funded 18 class sections each year, but due to district budget cuts that impact staffing and classes, we would like to fund as many additional class sections as possible for the 2025-2026 school year. And we need your help to do this! By making your tax-deductible contribution before May 9th, your funds will be immediately deployed to directly impact the 2025-2026 school year.
Please don’t pass up the chance to double your donation! Academic Boosters counts on employer matching to fund approximately 1.5 class sections each year. Many businesses in our area have a generous matching gifts policy so we encourage you to check with your employer. When submitting your match request, be sure to designate Monte Vista Academic Boosters’ Tax ID Number: 68-0260241.
